The history of the estate dates back to the 18th century and the existence of the vines to 1824. From 1830 to 1847, the house of Beaumont belonged to the Marquis d'Aligre, one of the richest men in France, who tripled the surface of the vineyard. In 1854, the Bonnin brothers built Château Beaumont in a Renaissance style. Château Beaumont began its twelfth life in 1986 with the arrival of the GMF group, which joined forces with the Japanese group Suntory to create the company Grands Millésimes de France, which also owns Château Beychevelle.

Château Sénéjac extends over 150 hectares, of which 41 hectares of vines are cultivated. Of the 150 hectares that make up the estate, around forty hectares of forest border the vineyard to the north and south of the property. There is a wide variety of species with hornbeams, oaks, acacias and maritime pines.
Nicolas de Bloys is the first known owner. In the 16th century, this fiery castellan planted the estate's first vines. Since 2011, Philippine, Marguerite and Gustave Cordier have taken over the family property, supported by their parents Nancy Bignon-Cordier and Jean-Paul Bignon. The family also owns Château Talbot, 4th classified growth of Saint-Julien.
